We are currently looking for experienced candidates to join us as a Front of House Assistant.
These new & exciting roles will form part of the team at the newly reopened SCHLOSS Roxburghe.
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Front of House Assistant who has the ability to deliver excellent customer service, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, be willing to learn and show that they care. We require a Front of House Assistant who has previous experience within a similar role.
Elements of the role will include; check-in and check-out of arriving / departing guests according to the given standards, performing administrative tasks (sorting and storing documents, registration cards, etc.) reservation enquiries and F&B support.

Where Will You Be Working?

Set in the beautiful nature of the Scottish Borders this historic property boasts 20 bedrooms, a championship golf course and the full range of sporting pursuits on the Roxburghe Estates, offering a getaway destination a little more than an hour’s drive from both Edinburgh and Newcastle. Formerly owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the hotel, golf club and part of the grounds has been acquired by the 12.18. Group. Our aim is to enhance this charming country house with an extensive refurbishment, building a separate extension to feature 57 additional rooms as well as a luxurious spa and a state-of-the-art meeting space. In addition, 60 lodges will be built on the surrounding estate that will allow the new SCHLOSS Roxburghe to extend its room inventory further to holiday-makers.

• Ability to take initiative and a practical approach to problem solving
• Positive and flexible approach to working hours (weekend, evening and night time work will be required)
• Passionate about customer service and hospitality.
• Good finance & PMS knowledge.
• Detail-oriented – accurate data entry, strong oral and written communication
• High level of confidentiality and discretion to be maintained at all times
