The Exciting Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Sales Manager who demonstrates great pro activity, excellent sales skills and delivers exceptional customer service. The role will be responsible for managing and driving the sales accounts for the hotel to maximise potential business and revenue at every opportunity.
This exciting new role will require participating in sales appointments, events and roadshows within the travel and hospitality industry and therefore can be based out of Edinburgh with two days on site at the hotel and three days on the road with appointments. This is a full-time position with a competitive annual salary from £30k, based on experience.
Previous Sales Management experience within a 4 or 5 star hotel is essential as well as a clean UK driving licence. A laptop, mobile phone and fuel allowance will be included in the package.

Where Will You Be Working?

SCHLOSS Roxburghe is an exceptional country house estate with a Championship Golf Course and a range of outdoor activities, nestled in the beautiful Scottish Borders but little more than an hour's drive from both Edinburgh and Newcastle. The elegant property includes 20 bedrooms and suites, many of which are located within the historic house. Cuisine is top quality and varied, with an emphasis on fresh, home-grown produce. There are numerous cosy bars with roaring log fires for leisurely drinks, and the Spa, set to open in the near future, promises to be a first-class wellbeing destination.

Formerly owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the hotel, golf club and grounds are now owned by the 12.18 Group and is undergoing an extensive refurbishment, building a separate extension to feature 58 additional rooms as well as a luxurious spa, a state-of-the-art meeting space and 60 lodges will be built on the surrounding estate. With the hotel and estate growing and due to open Autumn 2022 there will be many opportunities for growth and development throughout the year!

What Are We Looking For?

• You have a positive and approachable personality with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• You will have experience within a similar role in the Scottish and/or UK market
• You are a great organiser with a key focus for detail
• Driving license

Your Main Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for driving, co-ordinating and managing all sales activity for SCHLOSS Roxburghe
• You will work with the Sales and Reservations departments to ensure the needs of the business are met
• Develop a strategic sales plan for hotel, working closely with the General Manager and the 12.18 Sales and Revenue team
• Organise and carry out VIP site visits and Fam trips in the hotel and estate
• Work with hotel management to communicate sales strategy, new packages, and VIP Site visits
