Activities offered at the SCHLOSS Country Sports Centre:

Fly Fishing.

A REEL EXPERT CAN TACKLE ANYTHING.
The ultimate angling day out – ditch the suit and don your waders for a day of fly fishing in the fresh waters of Scotland. There’s no better relaxation for the hectic pace of city life.

Tune up your skills or pick up a rod for the first time at the Trout Loch and when salmon is in season, there is little that will compare to the thrill of fishing on the open waters of Scotland.

Your Fly Fishing Contact.

Eoin Fairgrieve is a fully qualified fly casting member of the Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors (A.A.P.G.A.I) and a former World Team Spey Casting Champion.

Clay Pigeon Shooting.

“Keep a close eye on the target”.
Swing the barrel, get the disc in sight and put your target shooting skills to the test.
There are few country pursuits that offer as much of a thrill as shooting. A traditional game of skill enjoyed for years in the countryside, clay pigeon shooting is a challenging test of your hand eye coordination and your reaction speed.

Meet Our Head Shooting Instructor.

Our head shooting instructor Ian Braithwaite has been involved in shooting for over 30 years and is a passionate game shot.

Archery.

“A good archer is known not by his arrows but by his aim.”
Archery is a sport that doesn’t require strength, but rather style, technique and co-ordination. It is a great family and group activity for all ages.

Learn the stone-age-old sport and art of archery on our dedicated target range at SCHLOSS Roxburghe and under the friendly supervision of our qualified instructors.
