Sunlaws: The Main Course.
Authentic. Local. Hearty. The food on offer at the Sunlaws restaurant reinterprets traditional Scottish fare through a fine dining lens. Fill yourself up on rich, beautifully cooked local meats and veggies, sourced from close to home here in the Scottish Borders.
In fact, much of the food on your plate might be from even closer than you think. Our chefs very often use ingredients fresh from the SCHLOSS Roxburghe gardens – it’s our own farm-to-plate concept, and we’re very proud of it. The principle is this: it tastes better when you know where it comes from. Feel free to ask us about our locally-sourced food when you next visit Sunlaws at SCHLOSS Roxburghe.
Our Farm-to-Plate Concept
Something Sweet for Dessert.
Whether you’re staying for the weekend or are simply popping in as a dinner guest, we want your time at SCHLOSS Roxburghe to be fully indulgent. For many patrons, this means saving room for dessert – believe us, it’s worth it! Delicately assembled, the desserts at our Sunlaws restaurant are something to behold… before they’re gobbled up, that is.
Just like our main courses, the desserts are crafted by Executive Chef Olivier Borja to reflect the season. This means using fresh fruits and ingredients for maximum flavour and impact. Striking the balance between light and indulgent, sophisticated and authentic, there’s always a handful of desserts to choose from… chocolatey, fruity or otherwise!
A Nightcap in Bar 1745.
Is there anything more sophisticated than a nightcap? Offering a splendid setting for your favourite bedtime tipple, Bar 1745 is the perfect pitstop after a sumptuous meal in Sunlaws. Sample a nice Scottish Malt Whisky, or enjoy a glass of Champagne – anything to make your weekend away in the Scottish Borders just that bit more festive.
When indulgence is the order of the day – or evening for that matter – a weekend stay at SCHLOSS Roxburghe is a great option. That way, once you’ve munched your way through the Sunlaws menu and had a glass or two of the good stuff at Bar 1745, there won’t be far to travel to tuck yourselves into bed…
