We are looking for an energetic Senior Greenkeeper to strengthen our team at SCHLOSS Roxburghe. If you enjoy working in the outdoors and working as part of an enthusiastic team, then we’d love to hear from you! As part of a team, you will be responsible for assisting in all preparations of the golf course and grounds each day. The role shall also include assisting with different aspects of both golf course and estate maintenance and presentation. This is a full-time permanent position, with a competitive salary. The availability to work early mornings and weekends is essential.

It is an exciting time to join SCHLOSS Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course as we look forward to constructing a brand-new short game facility and upgrading the current driving range. 2023 will also see the start of the construction of a State-of-the-art maintenance facility along with a brand-new fleet of machinery.
Your key responsibilities.
To assist the CM & DCM in the management of the daily operation of the golf course & estate. To rectify or communicate any issues or foreseen problems To ensure all tasks associated with the management and maintenance of the golf course are carried out in-line with Health & safety polices To assist the mechanic and help undertake minor machine maintenance. Ensuring the team carry out and record daily pre-start checks on machinery prior to use and maintaining effective machinery operation during use Ensure maintenance tasks are carried out in line with departmental standard operating procedures. Mentoring and development of team members as required to ensure standards are met Carry out fertiliser, pesticide and other applications in line with Health & safety polices and industry best practices To operate machinery and equipment as directed ensuring that they are handled safely and instructed

Proven experience / qualifications.
Minimum of 3+ years golf course experience NVQ Level 2 or above PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates A full valid driving licence Prior experience of construction would be advantageous An understanding of Rainbird Irrigation systems
