We are currently looking for enthusiastic people to join us and play a key-part of the pre-opening team of our exciting luxury extension, The Estate House, at SCHLOSS Roxburghe!

With a new luxury Spa, Charlie’s Restaurant and additional bedrooms, suites and cottages being introduced, this is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the pre-opening Housekeeping team, shape your own career and get involved with making new history in the Borders.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with September dates, a competitive salary of £10.00 per hour.

Your Key Responsibilities.

You will be involved with all aspects of the housekeeping department conducting cleaning, and housekeeping delivery tasks, whist consistently following the luxury standards set out by SCHLOSS Roxburghe to ensure the best quality for our guests
Be responsible for the count of linen and stock control, reporting any discrepancies to the Executive Head Housekeeper
Keeping service and linen areas and housekeeping cupboards tidy and well stocked
Ensure that all cots, extra beds, fans are clean and stored tidily
You will ensure that the furniture, equipment, and appliances are in clean and flawless condition
You will interact with all guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, looking to exceed their expectations
You will bring your experience to identify and contribute innovative and practical ways to improve the overall quality and process within the department
To report any faults or broken items to Housekeeping management
You will ensure that all compliance, COSHH, and Health & Safety procedures are followed
Ensure that all procedures concerning guest safety are followed including but not limited to, lost property, key control, and confidentiality
You will take pride in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of all guest areas
You will assist the Housekeeping Management team with any ad hoc duties or requests when necessary

  • You are enthusiastic and have a positive personality with the ability to build genuine and trusting relationships
    You are a brilliant multi-tasker and able to organise your time effectively
    You have a key eye for detail and take pride in your work
    You enjoy working as part of a team as much as you enjoy working independently
    You have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all level

  • Proven Experience/Qualifications.

  • Previous housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
    Ability to communicate proficiently in English
    All applicants must have right to work in the UK
