We are currently looking for experienced candidates to join us. These new & exciting roles will form part of the team at the newly renovated SCHLOSS Roxburghe – due to re-open late Spring 2019. In these roles, you will work closely with the Front Office Manager and Reception staff.
We are seeking an energetic and experienced F&B Supervisor who has the ability to display a great sense of being a host to all our guests, deliver excellent customer service, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, be willing to learn and show that they care. We require a Night Porter who preferably has previous experience within a similar role and holds a valid driving license. You will be responsible for the warm welcome, the check-in and check-out of arriving / departing guests during the night according to the given standards. You may be in charge of delivering luggage and messages, taking care of our guest’s cars, providing valet parking service etc. The role shall also include performing administrative tasks that might come up in the course of the daily routine.
Where Will You Be Working?
This role will be one of the new appointments for SCHLOSS Roxburghe. Set in the beautiful nature of the Scottish Borders this historic property with its former 22 bedroom hotel, a championship golf course and the full range of sporting pursuits on the Roxburghe Estates, offers a getaway destination little more than an hour’s drive from both Edinburgh and Newcastle. Formerly owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the hotel, golf club and part of the grounds has been acquired by the 12.18. Group. Our aim is to enhance this charming country house with an extensive refurbishment, building a separate extension to feature 57 additional rooms as well as a luxurious spa and a state-of-the-art meeting space. In addition, 60 lodges will be built on the surrounding estate that will allow the new SCHLOSS Roxburghe to extend its room inventory further to holiday-makers.
The Düsseldorf-based project developer 12.18. Investment Management is investing around 35 million euros in the revitalisation and expansion of the property, which will be operated by the subsidiary 12.18. Hotel Management. Together with Babcock Pensionskasse VVaG one becomes the new owner of the Scottish Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course in the region "Scottish Borders", not far from the border to England. The managing partners Jörg Lindner and Kai Richter signed the purchase contract with the former owner, the Duke of Roxburghe.
