Group Conference and Events Coordinator.


The Exciting Opportunity

SCHLOSS Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course is looking for a passionate and experienced Group Conference and Events (GC &E) Coordinator.
The ideal candidate should have experience within the luxury hospitality industry with an enthusiastic and positive personality and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.

Your Key Responsibilities.

· Arranges all tasks before, during and after an event and / or group booking in consultation with the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure a smooth, prompt, and courteous service.

· Acceptance, modification and cancellation of group reservation and contingents and / or event bookings and well as appropriate entry into the PMS & Catering Systems.

· Performs site inspections.

· Review and follow-up of booked options for both group and event reservations.

· Reach the set M & E sales goals under the leadership of Director of Sales & Marketing

· Responsible for the adherence to the defined quality standards and develops strategies for quality improvement.

· Go for active sales.

· Partly responsible for the correct implementation of the required mise-en-place and event set up.

· Regularly discusses the organization of events with all departments concerned including F&B, Kitchen and reservations. Ensures effective internal communication. Co-responsible for a positive working atmosphere within the department.

· Works closely with all the other departments to ensure a smooth process.

· Is responsible for the correct billing at the end of an event.

· Proven experience 2+ years within the luxury hospitality industry preferred

· You are enthusiastic and have a positive personality with the ability to build genuine and trusting relationships

· You have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service

· You have proven organisational and leadership qualities

· You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels

· You are confident in handling guest complaints and colleague management
